President - Fundraising

Herb is dedicated to giving back to the communities he lives and works in, and served from 2014-2020 in leadership roles for “Friends of Ivanhoe”, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization benefitting an LAUSD school in the Silver Lake District of Los Angeles. FOI stages events for fundraising and community-building, runs an Annual Giving campaign, and generates funding for essential staff and programs.

• President-Fundraising in 2019-2020, responsible for $500,000 fundraising budget, and oversight of 15 fundraising and school events in ten months.

• Co-Creator/Event Producer of 3 annual Ivanhoe Hoops Classic basketball tournaments, raising over $15,000 annually.

• Leadership of five fundraising committees and seven fundraising events coordinating activities of dozens of parent volunteers and community business sponsors.
